Preparations conclude with two more weeks to Dominica's 12th Jazz 'n Creole
ROSEAU, Dominica, April 17, 2023 Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) invites everyone to Portsmouth, the home of Dominica’s Jazz ‘n Creole. The 12th edition of Jazz ‘n Creole will provide a fun family-friendly event in a serene location with food, culture, and music, including the well-loved VIP Experience and Kid’s Zone. The festival will take place on Sunday, April 30th from 2:00 PM at Fort Shirley, Cabrits National Park in Portsmouth.
This year’s varied lineup includes Black Violin, an American hip-hop duo from Fort Lauderdale who plays the violin and viola; and Island Jazz Collective, a combination of jazz musicians from Martinique, Guadeloupe, and Dominica, who will bring an international creole twist to this year’s festival. Additionally, Haitian American singer Phyllisia Ross is known as a Kompa star for her work in the genre and is also a songwriter and pianist. MV MEIN SCHIFF 1 to make an inaugural call to Dominica

Dominica Participates in Salon Du Voyage et des Vacances 2023
Roseau, Dominica – (March 31, 2023) Earlier this month, the Discover Dominica Authority participated in the Salon du Voyage et des Vacances held at the Palais des Congrès de Madiana, in Schoelcher, Martinique. The Salon du Voyage et des Vacances is one of the largest consumer travel shows in the French West Indies. For the organizers of the event; the show returned after three years due to the pandemic and was a resounding success. Since its inception in 1998, this travel show’s main objective is to highlight offers and future offers of hotels, travel agencies, tour operators, tourism offices, and other tourism service providers to its public. InterCaribbean Airways Increases Service to Dominica
Roseau, Dominica – (March 28, 2023) The Ministry of Tourism is pleased to announce the expanded flight schedule to service Dominica and the rest of the Caribbean. On March 15, InterCaribbean held its maiden voyage with its ATR aircraft to Dominica. An official ceremony was held to mark the event which included a water cannon welcome symbolic of the inaugural flight of an aircraft to a destination. A delegation from the Dominica Air and Seaports Authority was on hand to meet with the pilots of the ATR aircraft. InterCaribbean Airways has introduced its ATR 42 – 500 on its Eastern Caribbean route system. In summer, the airline will operate a mix of Embraer 120 (30 seats) and ATR 42 (48 seats) services to Dominica with the ATR 42 replacing the Embraer 120 over time. <Read More>
Dominica’s Premier Yachting Festival Launched

Caribbean Airlines to Increase Service to Dominica
Roseau, Dominica – (March 10, 2023) Caribbean Airlines will increase its service to Dominica from Trinidad by adding a return service on Fridays beginning April 7, 2023. Currently, Caribbean Airlines operates service to Dominica on Thursday from POS and then onward to BGI, and offers service from BGI to DOM on Mondays onward to POS. The flights operate on the ATR 72 which have 68 seats. Travelers can now fly from POS, Trinidad on Thursdays and Fridays (beginning April 7, 2023) and depart Dominica on Mondays via Caribbean Airlines.
