When the producers of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest went scouting for a location to shoot its legendary tale of Caribbean pirates, the island's barefaced beauty was so irresistible to scouts searching for untouched natural scenery that they decided to shoot scenes of Pirates 3: At World's End at the same time.
The film crew quickly settled at the southern end of the island's west coast and created an eerie village spanning two cliffs, which were conjoined by a roped bridge. This settlement was the hub of the shooting, but the film's camera roved in several areas of the island. The cast also explored the island extensively both in and out of character
When Johnny Depp and his sidekicks trekked the island, they found a lush, unspoiled landscape. Depp's foray into the wild interior must have aided his portrayal of the roguish Captain Jack Sparrow. Although bush and lemon grass have reclaimed the foundations of many of the sets, memoirs of the film's production flourish, since many locals harbor interesting testimonies and tales of their interaction with the cast and crew. Some of the Filming Locations
Ti Tou Gorge
"Little Throat" Gorge is actually a swim to the base of a waterfall through a series of natural "rooms and ponds" formed by high cliff walls canopied by interlaced trees. A hot spring tumbles down a short wall just outside the entrance of the gorge, which you will want to soak up after the cool waters of the falls.
High Meadow
High above the beautiful Scott's Head/Soufriere Bay, this location was for the famous Cannibal Village scene.
Hampstead

A beautiful secluded bay on Dominica's north-east coast.
